Candidate for
State Representative; District 29

Hello!

My name is Hubert E. Brown (my friends call me Brownie) and in my 5th term now as a Whitewater Township Trustee, I am a candidate for the 29th District Ohio House of Representatives. Now, more than ever, we must elect someone to represents our entire district, bringing work and life experiences to this position to benefit us all.

I was born and raised in White Oak (a neighborhood in Colerain Township) and graduated from Colerain High School and the University of Cincinnati. After living in Clifton, North College Hill and Colerain Township, my wife, Angy and I settled down in Whitewater Township to raise our three children. Now, with five grandchildren and an aging mother, I know first-hand the struggles Ohio families face.

My background as an electrician (retired 5 years ago from Local 212 IBEW) gives me the experience to be a successful Branch Manager at City Electric Supply in Harrison. That experience also leads me to be able to cross party lines to benefit our community. For 16 years, I have worked passionately to protect our history and conserve natural resources. In doing so, our Township has continued to pass yearly budgets and never had a layoff.

As an advocate for our Veterans, lifetime member of the Miami Historical Society (past President and current Treasurer), member of Sierra Club and a strong supporter of wise gun ownership and use, I find my fiscal conservatism and socially progressive views in line with our neighbor's.
