I am a strict constructionist of the US and Ohio Constitutions. The judicial branch of the US and Ohio government is a separate but equal branch of government. Judges are to focus on the narrow legal issues presented to them. Judges are different than politicians or legislators who may be outspoken on issues. The judicial code of conduct specifically prohibits judges from expressing opinions on many issues.
