2. What services do you believe should be considered basic and essential for the County? (100 word limit)
I believe the county's role is to provide basic fundamental services necessary to maintain an orderly, lawful and healthy community, and to be a catalyst for job creation.Such services include: General Government services; public works functions such as roads, highways, bridges and sewer work and those utilities essential to the maintenance of life; transportation improvements; courts and appeals; law enforcement functions including: crime lab, coroner, patrols, probation, parole and corrections; tax collection, property recording; Emergency services, disaster relief, emergency warning and recovery services; and providing emergency safety nets for public health and social well being.
