Why I am running for reelection

Since my election, I have served as Chair and Vice Chair on the Council. Some of the issues I have worked on are: fighting to limit the size, number and height of cell towers; traffic issues and parking issues; insisted on a 5 year budget projection; and acted as the liaison to the school district.

I am an engineering manager at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (the largest water district in Southern California). I supervise over 20 people who are engineers, designers, drafters and technical people. This position has given me the leadership skills I need to evaluate budgets, oversee projects, scrutinize operating costs, and think critically.

I also serve as a director for the Triunfo Sanitation District. In this position, I insured that a water tank that has been in construction this year in Oak Park was built in a manner that minimized the impact of construction on our community. My top priority: keep the community a wonderful place to live. I respectively ask to serve you again.
