Troy Edgar is the owner of two successful businesses, a United States Navy Veteran, and a City Councilman.

Born in Long Beach and raised in west Orange County, Troy went on to join the Navy. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Troy earned both a Bachelors and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He has also been a guest lecturer at USC Marshall School of Business on finance, information technology, operations and business strategy.

Troy began his professional career in the aerospace industry at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing where he spent nearly a decade. There, he led the finance organization of a $3.5 billion military logistics division of the C17 which employed more than 10,000 people. Troy also held key positions within the manufacturing, logistics and planning organizations including helping lead the merger between McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. He later went on to advise Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Setting out on his own, Troy successfully founded a consulting and construction company. He has more than 25 years of business and consulting experience for the many Fortune 500 companies within the following industries: Aerospace, Automotive, Consumer Products, Entertainment, Financial Services, Government, Health Care, High Technology, Telecommunications, Utilities, and Construction. He is a frequent industry speaker at prominent professional organizations and technology vendor's user conferences on subjects that include management and organizational leadership, global program management, and strategy and delivery.

Troy currently serves as a Councilman and Mayor in the City of Los Alamitos. Initially motivated to run for office because of the deterioration of the City's finances, in recent years Troy has led a real turnaround of the City's financial health, reforming the City's pension system and turning one of its largest deficits into a sizable surplus in just the matter of a few years, without raising taxes.

His current Council duties also include serving on the following Boards: Orange County Sanitation District as the Vice Chairman, and the State of California Rivers & Mountains Conservancy. He has also served as a Board Member on the Orange County Fire Authority, Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG), Orangeline Maglev Development Authority, and the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Mr. Edgar is also on two non-profit boards of the Casa Youth Shelter and the St. Isidore Historical Plaza and has been a member of the Los Alamitos School PTA, and the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers and sponsors the Los Alamitos Youth Sports AYSO, LAYB, and an employer of Los Alamitos ROP.

Troy and his wife live in Los Alamitos, where they have raised 3 sons.
