? 1. How will you prioritize the budget choices the Legislature must make to align the state’s income and spending?

Answer from Martha Flores Gibson:

It is about the Economy: I will always fight to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to participate in the economy, and I will always fight for jobs!

Martha will fight by reinstituting money back to local school districts Martha is for putting a stop to higher tuition fees!

"As an Educator, the health of our public schools will be my one of my top priority in the State Assembly." - Martha Flores-Gibson.

? 2. What types of changes or reforms, if any, do you think are important to make our state government function more effectively?

Answer from Martha Flores Gibson:

We need to streamline business regulations, and lower the unnecessarily high fees and high payroll taxes, and revamp the workers comp program now... and not tomorrow. California's inability to do business the right way, is further complicated by having other State's actively campaigning for our companies to move over to green pastures.

? 3. Fees for public higher education have gone up dramatically and funding has been cut. Is this a priority concern, and if so, what measures would you propose to address it?

Answer from Martha Flores Gibson:

Tuition costs are skyrocketing...by the time your children graduate from high school, how could they possibly afford higher education? Keeping tuition costs low is essential to keeping California competitive in this global economy. You need someone to represent you, who understands that and has solutions. As your Assemblywoman, I will provide them.   Nearly 200,000.00 was spent by our state on education consultants...yes, that is our tax dollars. Who audits such spending? Who do we hold accountable? Clearly, we have a government that no longer listens to the people because despite such spending, California is dead last in academic achievement.

? 4. What other major issues do you think the Legislature must address? What are your own priorities?

Answer from Martha Flores Gibson:

When it comes to taxes, Martha Flores-Gibson understands what normal citizens have been trying to let politicians know for years--no more taxes!
