A candidate who opposes a Casino in CloverdaleIt's obvious that the anti-casino sentiment in Cloverdale was made clear in February 2008 when 63% of the voters in Cloverdale said No to Propositions 94, 95, 96 & 97. While a Casino would help the financial complexion of the City it's not a way to usher in the economic development boost that we need. In a recent poll conducted by the Press Democrat "Towns Page" 58% participating in the poll feel that a Casino is not a project of Cloverdale. I'm fearful that this Casino will erode our small-town atmosphere and bring unwanted problems to Cloverdale. I like many other Cloverdalians feel that we moved to Cloverdale ~ Mayberry, not Cloverdale ~ Las Vegas West. |
