Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Sal Torres

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Daly City

This information is provided by the candidate

Daly City is experiencing its worst financial crisis in 100 years. Many cities in California have already gone bankrupt, but, not Daly City. For the last 8 years we have balanced our budget and I intend to keep it that way. However, we must continue to find ways to increase our Fiscal Revenues. Without it, our employees and city will suffer.

City Wide Shuttle.

Since 2000, I have been laying the groundwork for implementing a city wide shuttle that will connect residents and workers with government buildings, shopping and medical centers and BART and SAMTRANS stations. We started a dialogue with neighboring communities about a shared shuttle program so that we ensure a shuttle will help solve transporation issues on a regional basis as well. It will be time now to bring these ideas out of the board rooms and into the community for final phase planning.
