"I believe Belle Haven should have representation on the City Council."

"As a Council Member I will bring a different voice to Menlo Park government and will champion a new way of thinking. I am committed to a vision in which residents from Sharon Heights to Belle Haven will recognize the value of the City as an inclusive community."

"I believe Menlo Park should provide for an exceptional education opportunities for our children city-wide, and that Belle Haven residents should work with crime enforcement officers to assure public safety for all."

I will be your Voice on these key issues:

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY & SUSTAINABILITY

Menlo Park needs to be financial accountable and sustainable, even though the city has seen a "AAA" rating. Let's make it better by expanding our local tax base, and prudently plan for pensions and retirement.

  • Let's tap into our spirit of business innovation and economic vitality, and attract new businesses into our city.

  • Let's manage our resources and maintain a balanced budget even in lean economic times.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Ten years ago the Council announced a plan for the Belle Haven Police Substation, which was never built. It's time to ask why we seem to have difficulty retaining a Police Chief with a long term commitment to the city.

  • Let's build the Belle Haven Police Substation and revive our "Neighborhood Watch" program.

  • Let's take the time to recruit a police chief that commits to at least four years in the position.

  • Let's initiate "Community Policing" so our police officers and firefighters are known in our neighborhoods.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/JOBS/HOUSING

Our neighborhood on the east side of Hwy 101 is changing, and experiencing growth in both residential and commercial value. Approximately 40% of the City's revenue is produced in Belle Haven.

  • Let's provide incentives for new, local innovative companies to revitalize our business district.

  • Let's comply with State mandates for housing while maintaining the "village feel" that our community loves.

  • Let's build transient-oriented development that will help reduce the "carbon footprint" in our city.
  • Let's inspire momentum for the Menlo Gateway Project, to increase revenue and bring local jobs to our city.
