My record demonstrates achievements in quality of life, environment, charter and personnel policy reform, commercial development, housing, neighborhood wellness, homeless services,and infrastructure improvement, including the Downtown.
Under my leadership, the city has:

Added more bike paths and pedestrian trails
Increased preservation of open space, now over 6700 acres
Appointed residents only to the Land Use and Circulation Element Update task force
Approved the urban farm master plan
Approved the Climate Action Plan

Put binding arbitration & pension reform on the ballot
Reduced personnel costs 6.8% & created second tier for future pensions
Balanced the budget with no service cuts & excellent bond ratings
Adopted an Economic Development Strategic Plan
Collaborated with Cal Poly to create economic incubation facility

Launched the Neighborhood wellness program
Supported public art & headquarters for the local arts council
Improved the bus system and free summer rides for youth
Approved the safe parking program and supported homeless services

Approved Target, Garden Street Terraces & Chinatown,
Facilitated future housing in Margarita Area
Approved the Orcutt Area annexation

Initiated a safe parking program for the homeless
Decriminalized the ban on overnight camping in cars.
Increased affordable housing programs
Secured a $15 million grant to expand the LOVR interchange

Made traffic, sidewalk and infrastructure improvements
Substantially finished the retrofit program
