I am the Principal of NKB Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in strategies for land use issues. I recently retired from 12 years of service at Forest City Development where I served as Senior Vice President, and was responsible for obtaining the entitlements for the Westfield San Francisco Center project. Prior to joining Forest City, I was the Dean of the School of Health/Physical Education and the John Adams Campus at City College of San Francisco. I hold a Doctorate in Community College Administration/Curriculum. I was elected to the Board of Trustees of City College of San Francisco in 1997, and have been re-elected 4 times. I have been President of the College Board four times. I serve on a number of non-profit and community boards, including serving in the past on the advisory committee for Women's Initiative. I was immediate past President of the Jewish Vocational Services Board, a non-profit organization specializing in helping people, especially women, get work. JVS works within the broad community and includes working closely with the Mayor's Office of Workforce and Community Development and in partnership with City College of San Francisco. I am the recipient of numerous awards for community and professional service and am registered with the City of San Francisco as a Local Business Enterprise (LBE).
