I am running for my third term as a school board member of Fallbrook Union Elementary School District. I would appreciate your continued support and vote on November 6. I have demonstrated my commitment to my position by receiving my Masters in Governance Certificate after completing a 2-year training program focusing on setting direction, student achievement, school finance, facilities, human resources, collective bargaining and community leadership. I have represented the District at the National Association of Federally Impacted Schools meetings in Washington, D.C. I am also the District's representative to the North County Coastal Consortium for Special Education. I attend the annual California School Boards Association Conferences, numerous trainings, school functions and regularly visit all of our eight school sites. I continue to be involved with our community's youth as the Kiwanis of Fallbrook's secretary and a high school sports volunteer. A resident of Fallbrook since 1994, I received my B.A. in Sociology from UCSD. I am a special education paraprofessional at Fallbrook High School and a former employee of the Elementary School District. My husband retired from the USMC and is now a police officer. Our son attended Fallbrook public schools from kindergarten on, and is now attending Chico State University. I believe I have demonstrated the dedication and experience necessary to work with the teachers, parents, administration and our community to ensure that our students achieve the quality education every child deserves. |
