Hello, I am Wayne Lingenfelter, I am a candidate for the Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors. I am asking for your vote to this office.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I have 31 year's experience as a healthcare administrator and educator. I am prepared to serve my community as a member of the board. I am a member of the California Hospital Association, an organization that represents all California hospitals, where I serve on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee. I also serve as the President of the United Hospital Association. I hold a doctorate degree in Institutional Management from Pepperdine University.
I also served over 20 years in the United States Marine Corps as both a non-commissioned officer and a commissioned officer. I had two combat tours in Vietnam as an infantry officer.
During my professional career, in the healthcare field, I have been the Chief Executive Officer of six California hospitals.
Now I'm going to touch a bit on my personal leadership philosophy. Any successful healthcare district must provide quality patient care. This is achieved by: creating a positive work environment, attracting and retaining quality personnel, and ensuring financial responsibility. I know as a member of the board I can work positively with the other board members to insure the policies of the board will accomplish these goals. A positive work environment is fostered by leadership from the top with policies that ensure patient safety, employee safety, good communications from the bottom up and from the top down. We need to attract and retain quality personnel by making sure that the hospital provides an atmosphere of progress, an atmosphere of great technology, in other words putting the right people in the right place at the right time and insuring that they have the means to provide their patients the best care available anywhere. Financial responsibility is making sure the business is viable. Which means taking in more money than is spent. At the same time we must bring in appropriate, up to date technology in order to be competitive in the market place. Responsible budgets and spending plans need to be high on the boards list of priorities. The board must be forward looking and show great judgment.
I want you to know that I have a firm commitment to excellence, a firm commitment to honesty and a firm commitment to integrity and am eager to be a part of providing the highest quality of patient care to our Tri-City community. I am asking for your vote. Vote for Wayne Lingenfelter for the Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors. Thank you. |
