W. R. "Bob" Ayres

By W. R. "Bob" Ayres

Candidate for Board Member; Grossmont Healthcare District

This information is provided by the candidate
Appointed Member, Grossmont Healthcare District Board of Directors
In 2010 I was selected from 26 candidates to fill a vacancy on the Grossmont Healthcare District Board. My financial credentials and long history of community involvement in East County were primary factors for my selection.

My 47 years of both public and private sector banking and construction financing experience , are special skill sets I bring to the Board. I currently serve as Board Secretary/Treasurer and Chairman of the General Obligation Bond and Finance/Audit Committees. In these capacities, I provide the essential oversight of the District's $247 million bond measure approved by voters to modernize Grossmont Hospital. District Board Members are charged with the fiduciary responsibilities and obligations of the bond requirements to fulfill and protect the promises made to the citizens. I am honored that my Board colleagues have entrusted me to assist with these critical responsibilities to assure our medical facility improvements are state-of-the-art, thus helping to provide necessary healthcare services to the residents of the East Region.

I am proud to have served you these past two years and ask for your continued support.

Please join my supporters, County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, State Senator Joel Anderson, La Mesa Vice Mayor Ernie Ewin and The Republican Party of San Diego County by voting for W. R. "Bob" Ayres on November 6.
