As a community organizer for 20 years, I've helped bring our Santa Cruz visions into reality, including bicycle lanes, neighborhood paths, the city's climate action plan, and the county-wide rail trail now finally in the design phase.

As an owner of a small locally grown business (Santa Cruz Pedicab), I know what it takes to establish and maintain a human scale economy.

As a home owner in the Lower Ocean Neighborhood I have a front yard perspective on the need for a civil and respectful downtown and the effects of tourism on residents, both positive and negative.

As parents of two young children, my wife Akiko and I are committed to a future for Santa Cruz.

I do not believe that unlimited amounts of money should be spent on political campaigns. I have agreed to the city's voluntary campaign expenditure limit

The city's purpose must be to serve the will of its people, not to act as simply another large institution. If elected, I will serve as your advocate on the City Council.
