Occupation: Businesswoman
Education and Qualifications:
I am the experienced leader best prepared for City Council Seat 7 to create opportunities and solve challenges in Santa Clara. I ask for your vote to make Santa Clara stronger, well-balanced, built on partnerships of the private, education, government, and nonprofit sectors. My foundation in these sectors is broad and deep, built on a 30-year career at Hewlett-Packard, elected twice to Santa Clara School Board, service on Planning Commission and many nonprofit boards, including St. Justin Community Ministry and Santa Clara Schools Foundation.

Our continuing economic problems require us all to work in partnership to find balanced solutions. We have difficult choices to make to address short- and long-term financial problems. Council members must step up to challenges, provide independent oversight of City projects, and bring our community together again. Let's use our diversity to spark vision and creativity. Santa Clara must become an even better place to live and do business.

I care deeply about Santa Clara. After graduating from Santa Clara schools and Stanford, I chose to come home to help build our energetic community. I pledge my service and abilities to you, the people, to listen, make hard decisions and bring new ideas to make Santa Clara the best home for everyone. http://www.teresaoneill.org
