Education and Qualifications:
I believe I am uniquely qualified to be a member of the SJECCD governing board. I was a member of the Berryessa School District governing board for 9 years of which I was elected board president by my colleagues 4 times. During those times we were a very effective governance team where we were able to maintain and increase our student learning outcomes in spite of the state fiscal crises.

SJECCD is faced with many challenges including the current state fiscal situation, the probationry status of the colleges accreditations, student learning outcomes and dropouts as well as the implementation of the district's general obligation bonds.

The Berryessa and Milpitas area were to have receive a satellite campus funded by the 2004 and 2010 general obligation bonds, but up to this time, this has not come to fruition. The District failed the promises made to the voters in Berryessa and Milpitas.

I believe I have the knowledge, experience and commitment to work with the SJECCD governance team to address the above issues. Please vote for me on November 6. Thank you.
