Education and Qualifications:

Rod Diridon has the experience, education and integrity to be our City Clerk. He has earned a diploma from Santa Clara High, a degree from San Jose State, and is a Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk. Diridon is happily married and raising twins here in Santa Clara.

Diridon has fostered fairness City elections as a Manager for Santa Clara's award-winning Vote Ethics program. He has consistently met and exceeded performance goals, and been more than $215,000 under budget since taking office in 2004. For his leadership in good government efforts, Diridon received the City Clerks Association of California's Award of Distinction. He's also earned the International Institute of Municipal Clerks' Program Excellence in Governance Award, their highest program honor.
