This information is provided by the candidate
Mountain View maintains a AAA credit rating and it is important that we manage the city budget to ensure we keep that rating.
With the elimination of funds from the State Redevelopment Agencies and further reduction in funds from the federal, county and state, it is critical to find other sources of income for Mountain View. In addition to property taxes, the new sources of revenue will help the city maintain the quality of service to our citizens. In addition, the city will continue to collaborate with our employees to identify ways to provide equitable benefits to them and at the same time maintain a balanced budget.
