Smart Voter Official Statement for Robert Braunstein

Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 10

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Small Business Owner
Age: 53
Education and Qualifications:
Over the past 6 months, I have met with nearly 5,000 of our neighbors. So many of us are concerned about the direction of our City and the character of our neighborhoods.

I love our community. My wife and I are 40-year residents of District 10. I'm a graduate of our local public schools and we raised our children here. But we share the concerns I'm hearing from neighbors. That's why I have three priorities for City Hall:

1. Solve budget challenges: Fixing public pensions was step one. Rebuilding our public safety and infrastructure is step two.

2. Fully staff the Police Department: San José can and should be the safest big city in America again.

3. Bring jobs to San José: As a business owner, I know we can do more to attract new businesses.

As a Councilmember, I will bring people together to find real solutions for San José. That's why I have a broad range of supporters, including Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren and former Mayor Tom McEnery, the San José Police Officers Association, the Chamber of Commerce, and the League of Conservation Voters.

I respectfully ask for your vote. To learn more, please visit http://www.VoteRobert2012.com or email Robert@VoteRobert2012.com.
