Business Friendly... Can Mean Family Friendly

One of the most compelling changes we can make in Grand Terrace is to foster opportunities for Grand Terrace residents to spend their dollars in town. Many of these dollars are already being spent but unfortunately they're being spent in our neighboring communities and it's time to bring this cash home. This can and must be done by providing suitable locations for new business to call home in our home town.

The more opportunities we create for meaningful employment in town generate more options for residents, especially the youth, to earn money to spend locally. By increasing the number of business operating within the City enhances City revenue through increased business licenses fees, sales tax generation, and higher local earning potential for city residents.

Quality of Life in Grand Terrace A crucial element to our future success is the continued participation and commitment of our City residents to be responsible stewards of our community. In my opinion, the following four elements have a direct impact on the overall quality of life in Grand Terrace.

Fiscal Responsibility - Responsible stewardship of taxpayer money is the foundation of any prosperous city and is essential to honest and effective management of our city.
- Spending Wisely
- Increase Revenue Sources

Managed Economic Growth - Responsible spending is only part of the solution; the other is to develop methods to increase city revenue without placing additional burden on city residents or businesses.
- Attract Retail
- Attract Commercial

Strong Public Safety - I believe we must ensure our community remains the safest place to live and raise a family.
- Expand Citizen Patrol
- Enhance CERT
- Re-Constitute Neighborhood Watch

Protecting/Enhancing Residents' Home Values
- Public Works & Parks
- Community Involvement
