About Michael Karen

By Michael J. Karen

Candidate for Member, Governing Board; Apple Valley Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I believe that you should not have to be rich in order to run for politics! I am ready to lead Apple Valley School District with a conservative approach. I am a Republican, and believe in the Constitution! I will make decisions based on three things:

Is it good for our kids? Is it good for Apple Valley? Is it good for the District?

If these three conditions are not met, I will vote against it.

I will not allow teachers to indoctrinate our children. I believe that every child should be allowed to mold their own opinions and beliefs without influence from the school.

I am against raising any taxes; however, at the school board level, I will not have much authority in this respect.

I am for protecting teachers and school personnel. To save jobs it may be necessary to find ways of meeting a budget that is already very limited. I am willing to hear suggestions that do not cut jobs.

I have a job! I am running as a public service and will do whatever is best for our children!
