Candidate for
Council Member; City of Santa Maria

As a 27 year resident of Santa Maria, I have been a champion for local job creation and economic growth. I spent over a decade working with the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Commission and the Santa Maria Economic Development Association. I was involved in establishing a Regional Technology Alliance which led to the creation of the California Space and Technology Alliance.

I have served as a Santa Maria City Planning Commissioner for eight years, a member of the Board of Directors for the Santa Maria Fairpark, Founding Board Member for Santa Maria Police Council, a member of the Board of Directors for PCPA Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors for Marian Outreach Program, a member of the Board of Directors for Committee to Improve North County, a member of the Blue Ribbon Team for the American Red Cross, and Fundraising Campaign Spokesperson for Luis Oasis Senior Center.

In 2009 I was recognized by the California State Assembly as the 33rd District's Woman of the Year.

I consider myself a hard working advocate for Santa Maria and will continue that same course as a council member.

My husband Buck and I have 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren.
