Candidate for
Board Member; Natomas Unified School District

As a Natomas School Board Member since 2008, I have kept my focus on the children, teachers & the classroom. My two children have attended Natomas schools since kindergarten. I bring to this board the needed perspective of a parent and the discipline of an engineer. I have been involved with our schools as the chairman of the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee and as a member of Heron School Site Council.

To achieve and sustain excellence, we must continue to demand improvements in the secondary education at our middle schools and high schools. I will work for improvements in the areas of math and science. I will demand that our schools provide the learning environments that help all our children, that they are safe and effective, attract and support the best teachers, increase the role of parents in education and strengthen the connection between our schools, businesses and community.
