Candidate for
Council Member; City of Galt

Hi, my name is Mike McCune; I want to be your next Galt City Council member. My involvement as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical response member provides me experience in teamwork, community involvement and dedication to our community. I have volunteered in Homeless shelters, mentored trouble teens and foster children. I was appointed by District 5, Chair Supervisor, Don Nottoli to represent the Human Services Committee Council for Sacramento District 5. I currently also serve on two Ad-Hoc committees, Emergency Planning and AB 109, (inmate early release program for the Sacramento Area.) I am a member of the Galt Public Safety Committee, which is an advisory committee to the Galt City Council. I want to preserve Galt's small town atmosphere and encourage financial responsibility and eliminate narrow-minded practices. My college degree in Criminal Justice and Business provides me the knowledge to support my efforts concerning the citizens of Galt. I will encourage open communication and offer hardline representation for the citizens of Galt on the city council. As a concern citizen, who has children in our local schools, I am troubled about the funds for our school libraries. I want to work with our local schools to keep our school libraries open for our children.I believe my education with an Associate in Business and Bachelors in Criminal Justice, along with certificates in Fire Science and my current government experience makes me a solid city council member candidate. I will add balance to our Galt City Council. I am asking for your vote; to provide a powerful voice and for a better change in our Galt City government.
