Galt Plan to Attract Businesses
Working with Jason Behrmann, City Manager and the Galt Chamber of Commerce Director Frank Gayaldo this plan outlines the strategy to be used to attract businesses to Galt.
1. Research industry types to identify businesses suitable for location in Galt.
2. Target businesses that offer jobs compatible with current citizens.
3. Work with CA EDD to coordinate list of potential candidates for positions in targeted companies.
4. Develop advertising strategy emphasizing benefits of locating in Galt.
5. Work with the city of Galt to create a business friendly climate that welcomes businesses.
6. Prepare citizens through media to embrace new industry.
7. Work with agricultural industry to ensure that new industry does not detract from their business.
8. Develop strategy to attract international businesses suitable for exporting products produced in Galt.
9. Develop alliances with small cities within 15 mile radius with common interests.
10. Work with school districts to build a curriculum to support new businesses.
