Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Michael Bedrosian

Candidate for
Board Member; Natomas Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a parent not a politician. I have three children currently enrolled in NUSD. My 13 yr old attending Natomas Middle school, my 11 year old and special needs 7 year old attending Natomas Park. My wife and I are active parents in our children's education and volunteer frequently. The quality of their education is my priority and inspiration for running for this position.

I was raised in a family of educators and come from a diverse background. Both of my parents are retired teachers from southern California, as well as my bother and his wife who are current teachers in central California. Upon graduating with a degree in communications I entered a career in business management.

I have strong skills in maintaining and fixing budgets. I have worked 15 yrs as a business manager with 20 yrs of experience in human resource and financial planning with an emphasis in trouble shooting businesses in financial deficits in order to make them profitable. I was a mentor for new store managers in Los Angeles and ran four stores simultaneously during peak holiday season.

Why I'm Running

I am running to make a difference. I want our children and generations after them to have the same opportunities that we had growing up. Our children deserve the highest education to create limitless opportunities for their future.

I am running for this office because the current board members are not accomplishing the goals and requirements of this community. It is obvious by the decisions being made by the current board members that many people's voices are being ignored. Due to the inadequate performance of their elected duties the whole school district is suffering. The board members present agendas are counter to the productivity of this community.

My Goals For Our District

I will work to re-establish quality education by maintaining a fiscally responsible budget to ensure improved conditions for our children, educators and staff.

If elected I will be certain that all parties are heard from. I will check and double check all issues that arise. I will ensure that I have all sides to an issue, not just taking the word of select individuals.

My primary focus will remain what is in the best interest of our children, teachers, staff and parents in our district. If elected my decisions will reflect this promise. Nothing but the best is good enough from this point forward.
