Bringing Businesses and Jobs to San JacintoBy Crystal L RuizCandidate for Council Member; City of San Jacinto | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Talk is cheap...it's time for Action. We need to bring new businesses into San Jacinto. I will not just sit by and talk about making changes...I will do something about it. That is why I have already begun meeting with Hollywood Production Companies working on bringing them to San Jacinto.Joblessness has hit San Jacinto very hard. We keep hearing that the recession is officially over, but when you have to choose between gas in the car or food on the table you know that there is no way it is over for you. With unemployment in California at 12% how can anyone say were doing better. The unskilled worker has the highest rate of unemployment at 15%. We have to do something before it gets worse. My plan is to bring Hollywood Production Companies to San Jacinto. When a Production Company comes to town they hire and train local residents. Not just for extra work, but for people behind the scenes, usually about 200 per production. They also use local catering, local dry cleaning, local hardware stores, local vintage stores, local clothing stores and a whole lot more. By bringing in Hollywood Production Companies we will see the local economy getting better at a faster rate. People will be employed and local revenues will increase. We are Americans and the American work force has faced hardship before. We have to get people back to work. We need to create an environment that will promote economic growth for the city. We need to bring new businesses to San Jacinto and we need to help local businesses increase their sales. The citizens of San Jacinto can take back their city and take control of their future. |
