By Mary Ann (Harvey) Melleby

Candidate for Director; San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency

This information is provided by the candidate
The agencies should be involved in on-going, communication and collaboration. A partnership between the agencies in the Pass region will assure that growing regional water needs are met.
We need to optimize the use of all resources available in a responsible manner for the collective good. The goal is to be as cost effective as possible in meeting the water and infrastructure needs for the region.

Also, regional planning with identification of projects that provide regional benefits are more likely to receive grant and loan funding from state and federal agencies. The agencies need to work together to continue to recharge the basin to protect our groundwater supplies.

If elected, I will support efforts for regional planning and partnerships to achieve common goals among local water providers that result in cost effectiveness and responsible stewardship of resources.
