The Importance of Relevant Education for All Students In All Grades
If the students do not find the work they are doing relevant to the world they live in, they will lose interest and drop our or fail sooner or later. We need to change the focus of education away from high stakes testing and make the subject matter we are teaching our students relevant to their lives.
Technical Academies are Needed in Todays High schools!
Today's High Schools Force feed all students classes preparing them for entry into four-year colleges leaving many of our high school students disinterested in High School. Classes preparing students for college entrance are great for students that are interested in going to college, but more than half never go to college. We need Technical Academies to keep students interested in graduating from high school and having the skills after graduation to enter current and future job markets.
