Serving as your Mayor is a privilege and honor. The battle we won over the last four years against the economic recession and seizing of our local tax dollars by the State of California has tested my determination to keep Stanton a thriving and safe community.

I accepted the challenge and under my leadership along with this community's help, we survived an economic crisis that would have devastated any other city. Working together, the City of Stanton has a balanced budget, a stable economy, and No future bankruptcy. I am proud of my work as your Mayor.

We prepared for this economic crisis in 2008 and to date have cut nearly $6 Million. This along with $11.1 Million grabbed by the state severely impacted public services. Fortunately our neighborhood volunteer program kept our parks and Police Station open while a very successful economic recovery plan is having great success.

I listened to the voters by making Public Safety the city's top priority while keeping a tax increase off the November ballot. I will always provide the number of Police and Fire Fighters needed to keep our community safe.
