Use of Newly Rezoned LandBy Bijan MohseniCandidate for Council Member; City of Cypress | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Simply put, I welcome commercial development of the newly rezoned 33 acres of land. In June, Cypress voters, by an overwhelming 70%, affirmed their desire to develop the closed-down Cypress Golf Course. Because our city motto is "Progress", I believe it is imperative that we work to bring down our 8.4% unemployment rate and while raising our property value. I will work towards the further development of our city. Commercial development would not only bring in revenues of up to $831 million, but create about 100 temporary construction jobs and 700 long-term jobs. I would love to see a town center in Cypress. A metropolitan hub, complete with a much needed movie theater, small boutiques, and restaurants. |
