Ha Mach's biography - He came to the United States in 1972 and attended CSU Long Beach. Ha Mach earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1976. During his last year at the University, he helped Vietnamese refugees from Camp Pendleton adjust to American way of life as the president of the Vietnamese Students Association. - In the summer of 1976, he moved to the Washington D.C. area to train as a store assistant manager and then became department manager for Kmart Stores. His specialty there was in-store marketing, and merchandises shrinkage prevention. - In 1981, moving back to Orange County in California to be close to his parents, he went into business for himself and became a successful small business owner. - With his experience in the retail industry, he has been active in business consulting and well known to other Vietnamese American merchants in the area. He helps all: negotiating with the State Board of Equalization in sales tax disputes, applying for various city and state business licenses, designing start up food manufacturing companies and restaurants, managing over ninety employees for a chain of restaurants, preventing merchandises shrinkage and on the job accident prevention to keep the cost of worker's compensation insurance to a minimum. - Currently, he also is managing his own real estate sales and mortgage company and volunteers and supports charitable organizations in Westminster. |
