Children in my neighborhood tell me their dreams of becoming a doctor, a teacher, or an inventor. It's the American dream. To get there, nothing can replace quality education.

As the son of a teacher, I learned early on hard-work ethic and civic responsibility. I worked hard, earning college degrees and am now a professional with the Health Care Agency serving local families.

As a city commissioner, I promote arts, culture and civic participation. I am involved with our neighborhoods, working to keep our streets clean and neighborhoods safe and free of violence.

Now raising a family, my wife and I plan to send our daughter to schools in the district. And every kid in our neighborhood including my daughter deserves top notch education.
