It has been my privilege to have worked with Gavin Huntley-Fenner during our mutual tenure on the Board of Directors of the Irvine Public Schools Foundation over ten years ago. Upon Gavin's election to the Board of Trustees of the Irvine Unified School District, we continued to work together to give students in the Irvine K-12 public school system the best educational experience possible.

Gavin is a dedicated public servant, a highly educated scientist, and a tireless worker. I believe he has the leadership skills, the knowledge and, and the experience to serve on the Irvine City Council and make a meaningful impact.

Irvine is a unique place to live, work and raise a family. My wife Kathie and I have three children, all formerly students in IUSD, and now adults with families of their own. We want to see the Irvine of the future preserve the quality of life that initially attracted us here. This can only happen if Irvine's future leaders display the same foresight and dedication as their predecessors.
