Candidate for
Council Member; City of Fullerton

Jan previously served on the City Council for 8 years from 1994 to 2002. She was the city's Mayor in 1999. She previously served as a Planning Commissioner and a Community Services Commissioner. She was appointed to the Orange County Water District Board as the City representative and served 4 years in that position as well as on many other committees and commissions.

Jan has lived in Fullerton since 1970 when she moved here with her husband, Bill and 3-yr-old twins, Mike and Rob. Her children are now 45 and are both attorneys. They benefitted from a Fullerton education from kindergarten through law school at Western University. Mom, Dad and sons are all CSUF graduates. Jan also attended Western University, College of Law and obtained her J. D. degree in 1986. She has had her family law practice in Fullerton for the past 26 years. Prior to that, she had been a real estate broker for many years.

Jan is a member of Fullerton Heritage, Fullerton Beautiful, Pathways to Hope, Friends of the Arboretum and the Fullerton Library Foundation. For many years she was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Fullerton Downtown Business Association.

Jan was born in New Zealand, the child of a U. S. Marine and his New Zealand bride. She has a birth certificate to prove it. She grew up in Garden Grove, California.
