Candidate for
Board Member; Mesa Consolidated Water District; Division 2

I was appointed to the Mesa Consolidated Water District (Mesa Water) Board of Directors in August 2009, elected in 2010, and am currently the Board's First Vice President. As Mesa Water's First Vice President, I serve on the District's Executive Committee and also am Chair of the Public Information Committee at Mesa Water.. I also serve as a member of the City of Costa Mesa's Investment Oversight Committee and as a Board member for Friends of Costa Mesa's Libraries.

My interest in serving as a Mesa Water Director began after attending several Board meetings and being motivated at the prospect of being involved in water supply, storage, and delivery to the community, as well as in promoting conservation.

Since March 2010, I have served as President of the Mesa Consolidated Water District Improvement Corporation, a California non-profit public benefit corporation formed to assist Mesa Water in financing certain improvements to the District's water system.

Previously for Mesa Water, I served on the District's Engineering & Operations, Finance, and IT Ad Hoc Committees. I have also served as Mesa Water's liaison to: LAFCO; the Independent Special Districts of Orange County; and, the Municipal Water District of Orange County. Additionally, I was elected, in 2011, to serve the Local Agency Formation Committee (LAFCO) of Orange County as the special districts alternate commissioner.

I have a passion for public policy and am immensely involved in community service. Prior to joining Mesa Water's Board, I served as Vice-Chair of the City of Costa Mesa's Planning Commission and, before that, as a City Parks and Recreation Commissioner. I was also a member of the City's Residential Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Committee for more than a decade, serving in many capacities including as an alternate, full member, or liaison from the Planning Commission. Additionally, I volunteered in the City's Neighbors for Neighbors program for over 10 years, and am a graduate of the Citizens Police Academy.

Currently a REALTORŪ with Torelli Realty in Mesa Verde, I was a regional manager for Nordstrom stores for more than 12 years. Both positions equipped him with the necessary skills to provide outstanding customer service.

A Costa Mesa resident for over 40 years, Fisler has lived in the Mesa Verde area for 20 years.
