Jan Serrantino Cox, is a native Californian who moved to Orange County in the 1960"s. She graduated from Newport Harbor High School, attended community college and then transferred to Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education. Jan returned to California to teach in Orange County Schools. Jan and her husband Darryl moved to Rancho Santa Margarita in 1996 and have enjoyed watching their children become adults and have their own children. Their grandchildren attend school in Rancho Santa Margarita. While working in Orange County School Districts, Jan earned her Master's in Education Degree from Alliant International University in San Diego with an emphasis in Education Policy and Administration. She then attended the University of Southern California where she earned her doctorate in 2002 in Education Policy and Administration. Jan began working at the University of California, Irvine in 2003 as an adjunct faculty member and in 2006 became the Director of the Disability Services Center. Jan loves to play golf, read and enjoy the company of family and friends. |
