Controlled Development, based on what is best for Monterey County, public input.I support controlled development; water is still a major issue in the development of former Fort Ord. I believe in open space and land preservation, which means that massive development needs adequate controls by all parties that have vested interest. Presently we have alot of plans in the works for massive develpments that need to have public review and input. Past proposals like the MST project was not properly package and palatable to the public and it was rejected. Being a veteran of Vietnam I support the Veterans Cemetery as the closes Veteran's Cemetery is in Santa Nella on the other side of Hollister. The Monterey Peninsula and surrounding areas have many service personnel who have retired and live in the area. Their families and friends should have to drive to Santa Nelle to spend time at their loved ones last resting place to share precious memories. |
