BALANCED CITY BUDGET

We must work toward a city budget that has revenues that exceed expenditures.
Earlier this year I sought to have a requirement that the city manager submit a proposed city budget that is balanced. This was done because there is obviously a need for the people and their elected officials to be fully aware of the financial standing of their city. To keep people in the dark is wrong and dangerous to their well-being. It cannot be allowed.

The city council approved my suggestion and it is now a requirement that the city manager submit to the city council a proposed balanced budget that sets forth the accurate financial condition of our city.
