Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of King City

I have been a King City resident for 35 years. I worked for the Monterey Co. Sheriff's Department for 22 years (1977-1999), leaving as the Chief Deputy Sheriff-Administration. I was the Chief of Police, Greenfield Police Department, (2003-2012) retiring in 2012. Chair, Board of Trustees, Mee Memorial Hospital (1992-2009), Councilmember, City of King (1992-2000), Past President, Monterey Bay Division, California Leage of Cities (two terms). Founding member, Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority, Past member, Emergency Medical Care Committee. King City Chamber of Commerce, Greenfield and King City Rotary Clubs.

My wife Linda and I are now both retired. We have three children: Charmelle, Danny and Heather; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

I graduated from San Jose State University, in 1989, with a BA in Social Science and from CalPoly-Pomona, in 1995, with a MS in Management. I have also graduate from the first Leadership Acadmey-California Leage of Cities, the FBI National Academy, and the Executive Leaders Program (ELP)- Naval Postgraduate School.
