Bankruptcy or City Revival: That is the Choice in November.

By Tomas Ursua

Candidate for Mayor; City of Pomona

I am offering a concrete program that will avoid a City bankruptcy: Plan to ImprovePomona.org
Bankruptcy or city revival: that is your choice in this election.
The Pomona City Council has proven that they can not do the job required to save our City.
I am running for mayor because I have the unique qualifications--and a plan of action-- to help revive Pomona. I have been a "community organizer" longer than our President, but I also have extensive business and organizational skills gained running my own business and having developed three different community centers in our City to serve the various needs of our families. As a former city councilman, I fought special interests, lowered the utility tax and made government more accountable: I was an agent for change.

My Plan to Improve Pomona:
Realigning all city services, focusing on eliminating waste and improving efficiency, will balance the city budget and save critical services like our library. Clean up Pomona, improve the environment for new homeowners and new business:
Pomona has too half-way homes run by absentee slumlords, too much blight and irresponsible property usage that needs to be better addressed. Community Empowerment--neighborhood councils need to be created to better inform the citizenry on how we can all be part of the effort to revive and improve our City.
