Candidate for
Council Member to Succeed Maribel De La Torre; City of San Fernando

My name is Joel Fajardo, I am a local businessman and an advocate for open and honest government. Like many residents, I am troubled by the direction in which San Fernando is headed. As a councilmember, my priorities will be to balance the budget, strengthen city finances, and restore confidence in our government. My years in the private sector have taught me the skills needed to keep San Fernando solvent. As a well-respected real estate agent, my work has made me a strong negotiator, project manager, and businessman. In addition, I have been involved with the issues that affect our community the most. I have worked extensively with a local non-profit organization that promotes sustainable homeownership, and I have fought against the extreme water rate hikes in our city. San Fernando needs new leadership that will work hard to recover public services and foster relationships with business community to help San Fernando grow. As a homeowner and longtime community member, I love this city and believe its best days are ahead. I am running for City Council because I have a positive vision and realistic goals for San Fernando's future. Together we can take San Fernando back.
