Searching for a community that would provide a great family friendly environment and excellent schools my family moved to El Dorado Hills in 1970, when I was just 2-years old.

I grew up participating in CSD activities and youth sports. Through my participation in these activities, I learned the value of teamwork, gained leadership experience, and is where I developed the skills to accomplish the goals I have set for myself throughout the years.

I earned my BA degree in early childhood education and my Masters degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from Sacramento State. As a Policy and Administrative Analyst, I advise my firm, CH2M HILL, on how policies being developed at the state level affect the ability of our company to do business in CA and with our state and local government clients.

I am the person everyone turns to because I have a proven track record of being highly effective and getting results. "No" is not in my vocabulary. When faced with challenges I do not lament on them I push forward and search for acheivable solutions. In recognition of my leadership, I was appointed to the El Dorado County Early Care and Education Planning Council in 2005 where I currently serve as the chair. I have helped to increase access to high quality early education programs for all of El Dorado County's children. And, advocated our state legislature, on behalf of our most vulnerable population, fighting against cuts to early education and care programs.

In 2009 I was appointed to the El Dorado County Tax Policy Oversight Committee where I still serve.

I am the immediate past president of the Capitol Network, a 501 (c) 3 organization that raises money and provides at least $25k in grants to organizations serving the needs of women and children each year and brought money back to our county.

Four years ago I was elected to my first term on the El Dorado Hills Community Services District. It has not always been easy, but I showed leadership, asked the hard questions, and made the difficult decisions necessary for us to meet the critical needs of our community and preserve our quality of life.

As President-Elect of the California Association of Park and Recreation Commissioners and Board Members I have presented at Statewide Conferences providing information on issues and ideas to support the role and responsibilities of appointed Commissioners and elected Board Members. And, enhance the abilities of commissioners and board members through educational and networking opportunities. I have been asked to present at the National Parks and Recreation Association Conference this fall.

I am the Secretary on the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) Board of Directors. Where I work to develop meaningful training opportunities for board members and staff and stay in-tune with what the state is doing and how it may affect how we run our District.

I helped establish the Gold Country Regional Chapter of CSDA, where I serve as the Vice President. Our main goal is bringing vital training to our community to reduce the need of expensive travel.

I was recently appointed as an adviser to the Institute for Local Government on their community engagement panel representing Special Districts.
