Education and Qualifications:

I am a graduate of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. I also hold Associate Degrees from Los Medanos and Diablo Valley Colleges.

At Los Medanos I was Student President and served on Shared Governance Council, working with the Administration and Board of Trustees. I worked with Tri Delta Transit and the Bay Area Rapid Transit District to provide affordable transportation for students and authored a corporate grant that increased funding for College Textbook Reserve Programs.

I work with schools to bring quality after school programs providing homework assistance and tutoring. My community service includes the Contra Costa County Economic Opportunity Council, Pittsburg Community Advisory Commission, Pittsburg Community Development Block Grant Sub-Committee and the Pittsburg Unified School District Bond Oversight Committee.

As your Trustee I will expand the Districts partnerships with local businesses, non-profits and community groups to bring new resources to the district: Increase Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education and Career Technical Education: Ensure excellent academic programs and quality instruction with transparent government and the strictest level of accountability. I am committed to working hard to improve our Community Colleges. I am proud to have the support of Tom Torlakson, Superintendent of Public Instruction. I would be honored to have your vote.
