My name is: Dwight R. Winn, Sr

My age is:

My occupation is: Retired Businessman

Education and Qualifications:

I have lived in the San Ramon Valley for 30+ years.

I believe strongly in the public school system and both my sons attended and graduated from district schools. Our schools rank highly on the state and national levels. My goal is to make the "Best even better". My perspective is shaped by my 18 month recent student status, undergraduate training as a teacher and my wife's 20 years in education.

As a community leader, businessman and parent, my experiences will bring a multi-generational approach that embraces all students allowing them to develop the coping skills necessary for success

I have a history of Community Service as a youth and middle school coach, and advisor to several committees including technology, accreditation and CTEC. I served on the Danville Parks and Leisure Services Committee that supported the Monte Vista pool project and building the Los Cerros gym. . These opportunities have enabled me to know first-hand the needs of the youth of our district and to work collaboratively to provide resources to meet the needs.
