Board Member; Antioch Unified School District

My name is Synitha Walker. I am a college graduate with degrees in Business Administration and Business Management, a dedicated mother of three, a devoted wife of 20 years, and a committed civil servant for over 26 years with the federal government. My family and I have proudly called Antioch home for the past 14 years.

As a parent, access to quality education, academic achievement, and parental involvement are priorities. I have demonstrated commitment to these priorities by serving as chair of the site council for Dozier-Libbey Medical High School. I have served as board treasurer for the Delta Bay Football League and parent coordinator for various sports leagues in Contra Costa County. I am also co-founder and executive director of Parents Connected, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting students, parents, community leaders, and businesses to prepare our students for college and career. I also volunteer with CCISCO, an interfaith organization seeking to empower everyday people to achieve equality and justice in Contra Costa County.

My goal is to continue serving our community by providing access to quality education for all children. If you would honor me with your vote as a representative on the AUSD School Board, I would continue to serve you by setting S.M.A.R.T goals that are Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Results-oriented, and Timely.
