Education and Qualifications:

Since my election to San Pablo City Council in 2008, our city has undergone many positive changes.

The new West County Community Clinic and three-story parking garage will be open by Fall of this year.

We have adopted Healthy Eating, Active Living policy into our General Plan.

We have a Summer and Fall Farmers' Market.

This year we completed Wanlass Park, which will also have community gardens and instructional classes.

I was part of a team that successfully lobbied for and obtained $6,000,000 in grant money to help build Helms Community Center and Rumrill Soccer Fields

Crime has been reduced by 20% in certain classes. I support our police department's efforts with our youth and adults through special programs, such as: Y.E.S., (Youth Education Services), CERT classes in English and Spanish, and Citizens' Academy.

I am committed to keeping our library fully funded, continuing support for our Recreation Department programs for our youth and adults, and for our Senior Centers.

I initiated collaboration with Richmond Build to provide job training for our San Pablo residents. All our graduates are currently employed.

As Chair of our new Economic Development Corporation, I will develop a plan with our Board of Directors to attract new businesses and investment in San Pablo, to promote job creation, to fund job training and assistance for our small business owners.

I ask for your vote on November 6th so that I can continue my efforts to make San Pablo a safe, walkable, family friendly and successful city.
