Education and Qualifications:

I have long admired how the Governing Board of the Lafayette School District, working with the teachers, staff, parents and community, has maintained tight fiscal controls while providing the students with one of the best primary educations in the nation. As a Board member, I will apply my skills towards maintaining (and perhaps improving) the Board's excellent work.

As past President of the Lafayette Elementary School PTA (2010-2011), Board member of Lafayette Partners in Education, and a volunteer on the Measure B and E parcel tax campaigns, I have worked with the District and our outstanding community volunteers in addressing some of the District's problems.

My family and I have lived in Lafayette since 2007. My two boys attended Lafayette Elementary School and will both attend Stanley Middle School this year. I graduated from Hastings College of the Law and UC Davis and have been a lawyer with Mclnerney & Dillon in Oakland, CAsince 1990.

My primary goal is to listen to the concerns of the students, parents, and community, then with the other Board members make the decisions that are the best for our kids.
