My name is: Ivette Ricco

My age is:

My occupation is: Retired Businesswoman

Education and Qualifications:

I will move Pinole forward with commitment and inspiration. I'm concerned that we are protecting our past at the expense of planning for the future - we must do both to ensure Pinole remains the city we love. We face difficult challenges from the recession and revenue loss. To get our city on the right track we must reduce expenses and look for ways to increase revenue. As a businesswoman with over 25 years in finance, I understand how to balance a budget and protect taxpayer dollars.

I've served our city by spearheading removal of the ugly green fence at San Pablo Avenue and Tennent, replacing it with low maintenance landscape creating an appealing community area. I was part of the community effort to keep the Pinole Swim Center open. To jump-start economic development, I have been working with city staff to start a "Welcome to Pinole, Business Concierge Program" demonstrating we are open for business and encourage investment in our community.

A leader must have grace and guts to make strategic choices and implement them under pressure. I have the vision to lead our recovery through innovation -lama leader for Pinole. Thank you for your support.
